Site Director/Learning Coach — KaiPod Learning Orlando Area, FL 2026–2027 School Year Position Details Lead Learning Coach positions available for the 2026–2027 school year Several locations across the Orlando, FL area Active Florida state teaching certificate required In-person, school-year schedule Reports to: Head of Company Pods About KaiPod Learning KaiPod Learning brings together small groups (pods) of 10–12 students who live nearby and are enrolled in online or homeschool programs. We provide a safe, structured, and engaging in‑person environment where students can thrive socially and academically, while parents gain peace of mind. At the heart of each pod is a KaiPod Learning Coach. Position Overview The Lead Learning Coach is the central hub of a two‑person pod. This role is responsible for the overall success of the site—academically, operationally, and relationally—while working in close partnership with a Learning Coach. This is not about hierarchy. It’s about clear ownership. Lead Learning Coaches create learning spaces where students are safe, supported, focused, and excited to learn. They serve as mentors, academic guides, enrichment facilitators, and trusted partners to families—while also owning the operational and team leadership functions of the pod. What Makes This Role Unique In some ways, you’ll feel like a teacher: You’ll build meaningful relationships with students and their families. You’ll support academic growth and guide enrichment activities. You’ll help shape a positive, inclusive culture in your pod. In many ways, this is not a traditional classroom role: Students follow their own online school or homeschool curriculum. Your role is to personalize their experience—through goal‑setting, coaching, executive functioning support, and social facilitation. You own the operations of your site: scheduling, family communication, safety planning, and budget. You lead and support your partnering Learning Coach, ensuring the whole pod runs with clarity and intention. You have more autonomy to make learning joyful—planning field trips, hosting theme days, launching clubs, and more Primary Responsibilities Lead Academic Success Oversee and monitor academic goals with students and families quarterly Analyze academic data (MAP, Lexia, Zearn, etc.) and adjust learning plans accordingly Ensure all students receive regular academic conferencing—consistent check‑ins on progress, goals, and growth Support student engagement through passion projects and meaningful work Deliver two daily enrichments of 60 minutes each, driven by curiosity and hands‑on learning Build a Thriving Pod Culture Create an inclusive, safe, and purposeful environment where students enjoy learning and socializing Facilitate daily enrichment activities and encourage student voice and collaboration Support students in developing life skills: communication, problem‑solving, and empathy Ensure every student feels safe, known, and comfortable Own Family Communication Serve as the first point of escalation for family questions or concerns Provide weekly newsletters, monthly calendars, and regular learning notes Share updates proactively—before families need to ask Support onboarding of new families and maintain accurate student records Manage Site Operations Manage ordering, inventory, and budget (monthly and annually) Ensure the space is functional, safe, and well‑maintained Maintain safety plans, conduct quarterly drills, and stay current on compliance Coordinate scheduling, substitutes, and staffing coverage Lead and Support Your Team Set up your partnering Learning Coach for success—clear workflows, guidance, and support Hold monthly reflection and planning meetings with your partnering Learning Coach Support onboarding and training of new coaches Collaborate across sites and contribute to broader KaiPod team initiatives Who You Are An Outstanding Learning Coach Deeply knows and motivates students Familiar with academic standards and core content areas (ELA, math, science, social studies) Skilled in supporting executive functioning and neurodiverse learners Tech‑savvy and comfortable navigating multiple online platforms A Natural Culture Builder Creates environments where students feel safe, connected, and excited to learn Plans and delivers daily engaging enrichment activities tailored to student interests Communicates proactively and professionally with families Organized and detail‑oriented with a strong sense of initiative A Site Leader Comfortable owning operational responsibilities: budget, safety, scheduling, and logistics Makes decisions with clarity and knows when to handle versus wait to get a response Ensures nothing falls through the cracks and that the pod runs with structure and intention A Local Connector Connected—or eager to connect—to your local homeschool or parent community Willing to represent your pod at community events and share about the KaiPod model Passionate about building strong relationships with families and students A Strong Team Member Open to feedback and committed to personal growth Proactive, solution‑oriented, and flexible in a dynamic startup environment Minimum Qualifications Active Florida state teaching certificate required Bachelor’s degree required Minimum of 6 years of teaching experience Experience working with students with neurodiversities #J-18808-Ljbffr
