A rewarding opportunity awaits an innovative Special Education Teacher who thrives in a collaborative school setting. This full-time, contract role runs from ASAP through the end of the school year, with a focus on supporting upper elementary and middle-grade students. As the primary provider for 5th to 8th-grade learners, you’ll play a pivotal role in fostering inclusive education and individualized student growth on a welcoming campus near Vallejo, CA.
Key Qualifications:
- Current and active CTC licensure in Special Education (Mild to Moderate) is required
- Experience working with elementary and/or middle-school-aged students within a special education setting is strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Genuine dedication to supporting diverse learning needs and collaborating with families, educators, and professionals
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction consistent with IEPs across a caseload of students in grades 5–8
- Collaborate with general education teachers, instructional assistants, and service providers to create effective inclusion models
- Conduct and participate in IEP meetings, maintaining thorough and timely documentation
- Engage families and caregivers as partners in each child’s educational plan and social-emotional development
- Utilize current technology and tools to track progress and enhance student learning
- Participate in professional development and campus activities as a valued staff member
