FEMA Databricks Front-End / Hybrid Developer

FEMA Databricks Front-End / Hybrid Developer Hybrid role to build UIs inside the Databricks platform using Databricks App and PowerBI dashboards. You will work with the Data Engineers and AI/ML Engineers to build connect their outputs to custom front end using web app frameworks. This role pairs front-end skills (PowerBI plus Databricks Apps with Flask, Streamlit, JavaScript, and React) with core Databricks SQL.

- Build PowerBI reports and dashboards sourced from Databricks SQL warehouses
- Develop Databricks Apps front-ends using Flask, Streamlit, JavaScript, or React.
- Write and optimize Databricks SQL against Delta tables to support reporting and application back-ends.
- Must be able to obtain FEMA suitability
- Hands-on experience delivering BI dashboards and/or data application front-ends in production
- Working knowledge of Databricks SQL against Delta Lake tables
- Experience building Databricks Apps or comparable lightweight data applications using at least two of: Flask, Streamlit, JavaScript, React
- Working knowledge of web design principles, including experience building web applications including front and back end API layers
- Active DHS Public Trust preferred
- Hands-on PowerBI experience connected to a cloud data platform
- Databricks Data Analyst Associate certification
- Experience migrating dashboards from BI Tools to the Databricks platform
