Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry Level Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic facilities team. In this role, you will support the upkeep and repair of building systems, equipment, and infrastructure to ensure a safe, efficient, and well-maintained environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals eager to develop their skills in maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) within a fast-paced setting. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and a passion for maintaining high standards of facility performance.

Responsibilities

• Assist with routine maintenance tasks across various building systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning), and mechanical equipment.
• Use hand tools and electrical equipment to perform repairs and installations accurately and safely.
• Support the troubleshooting of electrical issues using schematics, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools.
• Perform basic carpentry, painting, and facilities interior maintenance to uphold the aesthetic and functional quality of the environment.
• Maintain plumbing systems by repairing leaks, replacing fixtures, and conducting routine inspections.
• Follow safety protocols when working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), electrical equipment, or welding tools.
• Assist senior technicians with complex repairs involving HVAC system repair or electrical work as needed.
• Read and interpret schematics and technical manuals to support maintenance activities effectively.
• Support maintenance painting projects to ensure facilities are visually appealing and well-kept.
• Contribute to customer service efforts by responding promptly to maintenance requests from staff or tenants.

Requirements

• Basic mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools and electrical equipment repair techniques.
• Familiarity with plumbing system maintenance and repair procedures.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems including basic HVAC system repair skills.
• Ability to read schematics, technical diagrams, and use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters effectively.
• Electrical experience including troubleshooting electrical issues safely in accordance with industry standards.
• Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
• Strong communication skills in English for clear documentation and collaboration with team members.
• Ability to perform building interior maintenance tasks such as painting or carpentry as needed.
• Experience with maintenance, repair & operations (MRO) practices in a facilities environment preferred.
• Knowledge of safety protocols related to welding, electrical work, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Ability to lift heavy objects safely and work at heights or in confined spaces when necessary.
• Leadership qualities are desirable for future growth opportunities within the team.
