Computerized Tomographic TechnologistAcoma Pueblo is regarded as the oldest continuously inhabited community in the United States. Access to the pueblo is difficult as the faces of the mesa are sheer. Before modern times access was gained only by means of a hand-cut staircase carved into the sandstone. There are several interpretations of origin of the name "Acoma". Some believe that the name Acoma comes from the Keresan words for the People of the White Rock, with aa'ku meaning white rock, and meh meaning people. Others believe that the word aa'ku actually comes from the word haaku meaning to prepare; a description that would accurately reflect the defensive position of the mesa's inhabitants.The nearest major airport is Albuquerque International Sunport (ABQ / KABQ). This airport has domestic flights from Albuquerque, New Mexico and is 70 miles from the center of Acoma Pueblo, NM.The Facility- Acoma Canoncito Laguna Service UnitThe hospital provides general medical, pediatric, and obstetric inpatient care with 25 beds. ACL also houses a Dialysis Unit and the New Sunrise Regional Treatment Center, a residential program for adolescents. The hospital offers a full range of outpatient and dental services as well as several specialty clinics, utilizing a combination of direct and contract services. Full diagnostic and treatment facilities support outpatient care. Well-baby, diabetic, prenatal and general medical clinics are scheduled weekly. The field health program consists of health services that include health education, public health nursing, social services, nutrition, school health programs, environmental health, and alcohol and substance abuse services.Scope of Work:CT Tech shall provide diagnostic imaging CT services in Radiography, in a competent and professional manner assigned by the Supervisor of Medical Imaging Services.Provide services at dates and times assigned by the Supervisor of Diagnostic Imaging services typically Monday through Sunday.Provides emergency coverage when short-staffed as assigned by the Supervisor of Diagnostic Imaging Services.Duties and responsibilities may encompass Out-patient, In-patient, Urgent Care and Emergency Room departments, serves to Client patients.Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, such as CT examinations.Responsible for accurately positioning patients and ensuring that a quality diagnostic image is produced.Work closely with radiologists and the physicians who interpret medical images to either diagnose or rule out disease or injury.Perform proper radiologic CT examinations for images to be interpreted correctly by the radiologist.Deliver appropriate and timely imaging services in accordance with the Standards of Care established by recognized diagnostic imaging department and in accordance with the policies and procedures of the Service Unit's Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules and Regulations, including attendance at department and medical staff meetings where appropriate.Complete clinical reports and correspondence concerning patients under his/her care in a timely fashion.Maintain appropriate licensure and certification through the term of their contract.Possess current registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology and be certified in Computed Tomography (CT) Modality.Work Schedule:Will work Dayshifts and Nightshifts of 8:00 AM to 8:30 PM with a 30-minute lunch break, Nights shifts of 8:00 pm to 8:30 pm. All shifts can vary depending on assigned shifts by the Supervisor of Diagnostic Imaging services typically Monday through Sundays and/or as needed.Certifications & Qualifications:Graduate of accredited School of Radiologic TechnologyOne year full-time experience as a CT Scan TechnologistValid state radiology registration as required by State Law.Registry by the American Registry of Radiologic TechnologyARRT (R), ARRT (CT) preferred.Current CPR/BLS CertificationKurzSolutions is committed to improving healthcare outcomes by providing well-managed companies with the top healthcare talent in the market.
