State Florida Postal Code 33613 Job Description Assists in the training and orientation of new staff and students as required. Participates in performance improvement programs to enhance service quality. Responds to phone inquiries and fax requests related to cardiac testing. Assists with office tasks such as physician billing and verifying patient information. Performs other duties as assigned. Performs and documents electrocardiograms, exercise stress tests, pharmacological stress tests, nuclear stress tests, and stress echocardiograms. Conducts 24-48 hour hook-ups and scans for cardiac monitoring. Executes remote pacemaker testing and communicates abnormal findings to nurses or physicians. Maintains and manages supplies necessary for cardiac testing procedures. Monitors ECG worklist, ensures cardiologist assignment for ECG interpretation, and notifies physicians on panel reading schedules. Cleans and maintains equipment after each use and at the end of shifts. Provides accurate and timely documentation and reporting of all procedures in accordance with department policy. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Demonstrate proficiency in obtaining/evaluating a technically acceptable ECG [Required] Basic Computer skills [Required] Must be able to function independently with little or no supervision [Required] Must be able to read, write legibly and must be able to communicate effectively [Required] Stress testing experience [Preferred] Education High School Grad or Equiv [Required] Field Of Study N/A Work Experience 2+ cardiac telemetry or ecg experience that included stress testing, holter monitor, and signal average.
