Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH)
• Experience working with children or teens who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in a school-based setting
• Strong skills in American Sign Language (ASL), Signed English, or other communication modalities
• Commitment to individualized education plans (IEPs) and student advocacy
• Team-oriented mindset with excellent communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities:

• Assess students' communication and learning needs, and design effective instruction accordingly
• Provide direct instruction and support services to students with hearing loss
• Consult and collaborate with classroom teachers and other staff to implement accommodations and modifications
• Engage with families to foster communication strategies and offer resources
• Assist in the development and review of IEPs to ensure legal compliance and student growth
• Contribute to a positive, accessible, and engaging classroom culture
