Forklift OperatorA manufacturing company in Anderson, Indiana is seeking dependable Sit-Down Forklift Operators to support its supply chain and distribution operations. In this role, you will operate warehouse equipment, move materials from production lines, and prepare pallets for distribution.Shift + Pay6:00 AM-6:00 PM (on a 2-2-3 schedule): $20/hr6:00 PM-6:00 AM (on a 2-2-3 schedule): $20/hrWhy Work Here?Once hired directly, pay increases to $24+ per hour. The company offers opportunities for upward mobility, as demonstrated by employees who have advanced from entry-level positions to managerial roles over time.ResponsibilitiesPalletizing orders for the distribution center.Operating sit-down forklift to move material from machine lines to stage for the distribution center.Moving and staging both empty and full pallets of material.Wrapping top of pallets to send to the wrapping machine.Essential SkillsSit-down forklift experience.Ability to comply with PPE requirements in GMP facility.Self-motivated and staying on task.Additional Skills & QualificationsRF scanner experience.Picking experience in a warehouse environment.Electric pallet jack experience.Work EnvironmentThe work environment is a food manufacturing facility, requiring adherence to specific PPE and GMP standards. Employees must wear jeans, steel-toed or composite-toed shoes, and company-issued uniforms. Personal protective equipment includes hairnets, beard nets, gloves, and restrictions on jewelry and personal accessories. The facility ensures cleanliness and safety, with strict guidelines on attire and behavior in production areas.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Anderson, IN.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
