On-Call Banquet Bartender (eligible for tips)

Essential Job Functions

• Takes orders from customers or Bar Server.
• Mixes ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitters to prepare cocktails and other drinks.
• Serves wine and draught or bottled beer.
• Arranges bottles and glasses to make attractive display.
• Slices and pits fruit for garnishing drinks.
• Checks food before serving it to the guest to ascertain that appearance, temperature and portions are correct.
• Replenishes bar snacks such as chips, pretzels, and nuts.
• Follows AURO Hotels' beverage standards and procedures
• Makes sure all drinks are rung up properly and collect money for drinks served.
• Follows cash handling responsibilities as dictated by AURO Hotels' policy.
• Is fully responsible and accountable for an issued bank.
• Fills out beverage requisitions, par and supply lists; assists in monthly inventory.
• Has full knowledge of and fully comply with the state liquor laws.
• Follows proper procedures for ringing guest checks and cash collecting procedures.
• Performs all duties in a safe manner and monitor those actions of others.
• Prepares efficiently and accurately all drinks according to AURO Hotels' standards Has knowledge of general house information in order to assist guests at any time.
• Relays any guest complaints/comments to Manager.
• Responsible for the daily maintenance and cleanliness of the bar before, during and after shift.
• Responsible for profitable bar cost by accurate measurement of product. Measure all drinks properly using a jigger. No free pouring!
• Completes opening/closing duties (side work).
• Responsible to never leave bar unattended.

Experience/Education

High school diploma or general education degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
