Key Responsibilities of the Emergency Department Registered Nurse

• Provide high-quality care to patients across all age groups, including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics.
• Manage patients with common diagnoses such as stroke, sepsis, trauma, MI, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure.
• Administer required drips and medications including pressors, vasodilators, anti-arrhythmics, sedatives, TNK, heparin, and insulin.
• Operate specialty equipment like Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun.
• Float between units as needed, while maintaining a high standard of care.

Requirements of the Emergency Department Registered Nurse

• Active NY RN License verified through NURSYS
• Current AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC certifications
• 2+ years of emergency department experience with pediatric exposure
• Documented travel nursing experience
• Proficient in EPIC EMR systems
• Charge capability is highly preferred
