About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Rotating Shifts Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years required, including experience as a circulator for Cesarean sections License: State RN license required Certifications: NRP ACLS BLS AWHONN Intermediate Must-Have: Circulator experience Description: Urgent need for a Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery. Position requires knowledge of clinical leadership and a desire to mentor other nurses. The unit comprises 10 beds, with 5 designated for labor and delivery and 5 for postpartum. The nurse will need to assist with various procedures including high-risk deliveries and Cesarean sections. Skill in circulating for C-sections is essential. The position involves rotating shifts with variable days of the week. Weekend work is required, with a minimum of 5 weekend shifts scheduled every 6 weeks. The nurse will be expected to collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to provide quality patient care. Experience with Epic charting system is preferred. A strong commitment to evidence-based practices and continuous learning in the field of labor and delivery nursing is essential. Candidates must have proof of current certifications upon application. This position also involves performing assessments and providing individualized patient care in line with best practices for laboring and postpartum patients. Participation in ongoing education and training sessions is expected to maintain competencies.
