We are an independently owned Jackson Hewitt Tax Service franchise seeking approximately 10 experienced, full-time seasonal Tax Preparers across five storefront offices - TRENTON,NJ EWING,NJ HAMILTON,NJ PHILADELPHIA, PA. What You Will Do Prepare accurate individual federal and state income tax returns. Interview clients thoroughly to understand their tax situations and identify applicable deductions and credits. Review supporting documents and resolve missing or inconsistent information. Explain tax results and available services clearly and professionally. Deliver friendly, attentive service that encourages clients to return and refer family and friends. Schedule appointments and follow up with new and returning clients. Work with your office team to manage appointments, serve walk-in clients, and meet tax-season goals. Protect confidential information and follow applicable tax preparation requirements and company procedures. What We Are Looking For Previous experience preparing individual income tax returns in a professional, paid setting. Strong knowledge of federal and state individual income taxes. Confidence using tax preparation software and learning new systems. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trust with clients. Accuracy, attention to detail, and sound judgment. Dependability and the ability to stay organized during a busy tax season. A friendly, professional attitude and a commitment to excellent customer service. Availability for full-time seasonal work, including evenings and weekends, as required. Ability to meet applicable tax preparer registration and credential requirements.
