Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical SurgicalWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our medical surgical unit, providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. The nurse will be responsible for delivering comprehensive care to a diverse patient population with various medical conditions.Unit DetailsUnit/Department: 6 North - General Medical InpatientBed Capacity: 32 bedsStaffing Ratios: 1:6Contract InformationContract Length: 26 weeks, with preference for longer contracts of 26-51 weeks. Shorter lengths will be considered on a case-by-case basis.Shift: 12-hour shifts, with 36 hours guaranteed per week.Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend required.Orientation Dates: 10/05/2026, 10/19/2026, 11/02/2026, 11/16/2026, 11/30/2026.Patient Care ResponsibilitiesThe Registered Nurse will be expected to:Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care plans.Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.Monitor patients' conditions and provide education and support to patients and their families.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.Float to other post-surgical floors and medical-surgical inpatient areas as needed.QualificationsEducation: ADN or BSN required.Experience: Minimum of 1 year of acute care medical/surgical experience.Licensure: Kansas or Multistate RN license required.
