Cath Lab Technologist

The Cath Lab Technologist performs technical procedures associated with cardiovascular invasive procedures. Completion of an accredited Cardiac Technology program, Associate and/or Baccalaureate program in health science is required. Interpersonal skills are necessary for effective communication with physicians, nursing personnel, clinicians, and other support staff, patients, and families. Demonstrates the skills to work independently. Ability to accommodate after-hour call coverage is essential. Pediatric experience is preferred. Knowledge and skill in invasive procedure protocols, equipment, and instrumentation specific to cardiac invasive procedures are preferred. A record of a completed diploma or an academic transcript for those areas performing complexity testing must be provided.
