Concrete Finisher

Alyeska Builders is a locally owned general contractor serving Interior Alaska, and we're looking for experienced concrete professionals who take pride in quality workmanship and want to be part of a team that genuinely enjoys working together.

Winter work may look different depending on available projects and can include snow removal, mitigation work, demolition, remodels, and other construction work.

Prefer seasonal work? We're open to that too. We're looking for great people and can discuss whether year-round or seasonal employment is the right fit.

What You'll Be Doing

Our concrete crews work on residential and commercial projects including foundations, sidewalks, patios, decorative concrete, curbs, and other concrete applications.

Depending on your experience and our current needs, your work may include:

• Building, setting, and stripping concrete forms
• Installing foam, vapor barrier, and rebar
• Preparing sites and surfaces for concrete placement
• Pouring, spreading, leveling, and finishing concrete
• Applying decorative finishes, sealants, and protective coatings
• Concrete grinding, floor preparation, and repair work
• Epoxy floor coatings and specialty applications
• Operating hand and power tools and working around equipment
• Inspecting completed work for quality
• Working alongside other trades on residential and commercial projects
• Maintaining clean, professional job sites and quality workmanship

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 2 years of concrete experience
• Experience forming, pouring, and finishing concrete
• Foundation and flatwork experience preferred
• Decorative concrete and other construction experience are a plus
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening
• Ability to regularly lift 50+ pounds
• Strong work ethic and dependable attendance
• Positive attitude, attention to detail, and team-first mentality

Interested in concrete but don't have the experience yet? We offer a limited number of Construction Apprentice positions for motivated individuals who want to learn, develop their skills, and build a career in construction. If you don't yet meet the experience requirements for this position, we encourage you to apply for our apprentice position.

Employment Requirements

As part of the Alyeska Builders team, employees are expected to:

• Maintain a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Complete OSHA-10 certification before employment (company-provided if needed).
• Complete one company-approved continuing education course every six months (provided by the company and completed on your own time).
• Report any driving violations that may affect employment responsibilities.

No Earning Ceiling
