POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for safe equipment operation, quality production of product, and meeting production goals. The essence of the role is to operate machinery, set-up machine, and trouble-shoot machine for a waterjet or laser machine.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate a variety of machines
• Responsible for loading and unloading material to be set to measurements given by software systems or blueprints
• Accurately read calibrated measurement instruments (caliper, tape measures, etc.) and manually program parts to be cut.
• Rotate and cross-train into all production operations.
• Clean and deburring parts, label and coordinate cut parts for the next customer in a professional manner
• Perform minor technical repairs or adjustments on machines
• Organize and prioritize their workload based on business needs
• Take all needed precautions to maintain all safety requirements

• Able to use sound judgment when presented with acceptable/unacceptable part characteristics
• Works well with others and in a team environment
• Takes ownership of their work and prides themselves in delivering a high quality product

QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to handle repetitive lifting while using proper lifting techniques daily
• Must have previous experience in similar role
• Must have prior experience in reading blueprints and adjusting machine to necessary settings
• Ability to lift-up to 50 lbs. comfortably
• Ability to work overhead, and standing up constantly throughout the day
