RN CVOR Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing cardiovascular and thoracic surgical procedures, including preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care.
- Prepare the operating room, surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies according to procedure requirements and safety standards.
- Assist the surgical team during procedures, including maintaining sterile technique, monitoring patient condition, and anticipating surgical needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered and monitor patients for changes or complications.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusionists, and other members of the cardiovascular surgical team.
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow hospital policies, infection-control standards, and patient-safety protocols.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field.
- CA RN or compact license active and on file
- Minimum of one (1) year related work experience within the last 3 years.
- Active BLS
- Additional certifications may be required
- Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
- Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., . BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test, or other client-specific requirements ) .
