Data Scientist

Overview

Join our growing team of talented engineers building revolutionary imaging and material detection systems. We are looking for a Data Scientist to help us build products for a variety of commercial and government applications. If you have experience in a broad range of data scient applications, including machine learning, statistics, data visualizations and data pipelines, then we would like to speak with you.

What we are looking for

• Hold a MS in Software Engineering/Computer Science/Mathematics, or BS in Software Engineering/Computer Science or related technical field with 5+ years’ experience
• Experience developing software with two or more of the following technologies:
• Machine learning model training and inference using PyTorch or similar framework;
• Working and understand real-world sensor data;
• Data visualizations;
• Signal processing in Matlab or Python,
• Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills
• Desire to be part of a dynamic team and willingness to challenge and be challenged by others
• Commitment to growth and learning
• Must be eligible to work in the US and willing to work in person at least 3 days a week at our Tysons Corner VA office

The Company

Spectrohm is a startup building high-speed, scalable inspection solutions for bags and packages using patented radio wave technology. Our products help governments, venues, and eCommerce detect threats, enforce tariffs, and prevent fraud—faster, and at a lower cost than traditional methods. We are currently developing systems for security and inspection that will make the world safer by detecting threats and contraband at high speed and in more places without the cost, radiation and overhead of X-ray.
