As a member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of patients while enjoying competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and the support of a dedicated clinical team.Required Qualifications:\n \n One year’s recent experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist\n Valid ARRT, or RCIS/RCES Certification in compliance with state regulations\n Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)\n Preferred Qualifications:\n \n Current ACLS certification (AHA/ARC)\n Valid Radiologic Technologist license in compliance within state regulations\n PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC certification\n Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position\n Summary:\n The Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist assists physicians in performing minimally invasive procedures using advanced imaging technology. This role involves preparing patients and equipment, operating fluoroscopic and other imaging modalities, and ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety. The IR Technologist works closely with the interventional radiologist and healthcare team to support complex vascular and non-vascular procedures in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.Essential Work Functions:\n \n Prepare and position patients for interventional radiology procedures, ensuring comfort and safety\n Operate imaging equipment, including fluoroscopy, CT, and ultrasound, to guide procedures\n Assist physicians by scrubbing in for sterile procedures, passing instruments, and maintaining a sterile field\n Monitor and document patient vital signs and procedural details\n Administer contrast media and monitoring for adverse reactions\n Ensure proper radiation safety measures for patients, staff, and self\n Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment, ensuring readiness for procedures\n Manage and restock procedural supplies, including catheters, guidewires, and contrast agents\n Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other team members to provide seamless patient care\n Follow all infection control, safety, and regulatory protocols\n Provide patient education before, during, and after procedures\n Perform other duties as assigned to support IR lab operations\n Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards\n Required Essential Skills:\n \n Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills\n The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language\n Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills\n Physical Abilities - Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, and bend\n Interpersonal Skills - Must be able to work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalism\n Technical/Motor Skills - Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment\n Mental Requirements - Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure. Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally, as well as working without assistance from other personnel.
