Classroom FacilitatorThe Classroom Facilitator works at the Utah State University Nephi Center and supports classroom operations for Connect courses. Work hours vary based on course and operational needs and are scheduled between 8:00 a.m. and 10:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. This position will primarily cover Monday afternoon shifts and provide additional coverage as needed.This position is limited to fewer than 28 hours per week, and the schedule may change each semester based on course offerings and staffing needs. The Classroom Facilitator reports to the USU Nephi Center Coordinator. This is an ACA variable-hour position.ResponsibilitiesThe Classroom Facilitator serves a variety of functions in the classroom setting. Responsibilities include:Assisting students and instructors with operating classroom technology is essential for the delivery of Connect coursesCommunicating effectively in-person, by phone, via IVC equipment, through electronic communication tools, and in writingDistributing and collecting classroom materialsProctoring exams and quizzesMaintaining a quiet, professional learning environmentKeeping accurate class rosters and maintaining classroom material tracking recordsServing as a liaison between students, university instructors, and university administratorsPerforming other duties as assignedQualificationsMinimum QualificationsProficiency with computers, email, and Microsoft Office products, with willingness to learn additional basic technology skillsAt least one year of proven work historyCustomer service experienceMust have access to reliable transportation to and from work sitePreferred QualificationsExperience working in a higher education settingUnderstanding of the student–instructor relationshipBasic technical experienceKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesStrong professionalism, dependability, punctuality, and integrityAbility to maintain confidentiality of student informationStrong written and verbal communication skillsRequired DocumentsAlong with the online application, please attach:Resume to be uploaded at the beginning of your application in the Candidate Profile under "Resume/CV"Cover letter to be typed/pasted at the end of your application**Document size may not exceed 10 MB.**Advertised Salary$14.00/hourADAEmployees work indoors and are protected from weather and/or contaminants, but not, necessarily, occasional temperature changes.
