Joe V's proudly stands by our mission to deliver the lowest grocery prices in the world for the smartest shoppers, so they can enjoy life's pleasures.ResponsibilitiesAs an Inventory Flow Specialist, you'll ensure all Produce, Market, Deli, Dairy, and GM products are well maintained and stocked each morning. You'll perform all responsibilities and job duties with a sense of ownership and team approach.Stocking:Loads, unloads, and moves heavy, bulky products to support in-stock conditionsStocks and rotates items and all merchandising areas as needed throughout the StoreBuilds, stocks, maintains, and takes down Store displays as directedChecks shipments for out-of-date and damaged product to ensure freshness and qualityReports all out of date and damaged product received issues to the Inventory Flow ManagerReports missing signs and tagsSanitation:Organizes, cleans, and prepares prep areas, wareroom, and sales floor for incoming trucksEliminates cardboard and trash on shelves and merchandising fixturesCleans shelves and all merchandising fixtures; keeps sales floor area clean and safeAdheres to all SOPs for safety and sanitationMinimizes shrink through careful handling of productComplies with all federal, state and Company regulations and standards for product freshness, food safety, and sanitationCustomer Service:Provides a well-stocked and merchandised store, ready for customer shoppingProvides customer service by answering product-related questions and assisting Customers in a friendly mannerPerforms cross-functional duties in other areas (e.g., processing returns, performing Scanner duties) as neededQualifications & Key RequirementsWork Experience: Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:Knowledge of product rotation, department / Store sanitation, shrink awareness - RequiredStrong communication skills - RequiredStrong customer service skills - RequiredAbility to manage multiple priorities and shift focus between tasks - RequiredAbility to work in a fast-paced, high volume environment - RequiredAbility to use material handling equipment and maintain license - RequiredAbility to work in a team environment - RequiredInitiative; dependability; attention to detail - RequiredEducation: Licenses/Certifications:Completion of required job skills and compliance-related training - RequiredPhysical Demands & Working Conditions:Function in a fast-paced, retail environment, in detailed and precise tasksWork a flexible schedule (mandatory)Work with Customers, staying attentive to their needsConstantly reach at waist, graspFrequently stand, walkOccasionally reach overhead, reach at shoulder, reach at knee, reach at floor, bend, stoop, squat, crouch, kneel, climb stairs, climb ladders, pivot, shoulder circumduction, twist, push / pull with arms, pinch, and use fine motor movementsOccasionally be exposed to cold, wet (non-weather) conditions, ambient temperature, and loud noiseSafely maneuver around moving mechanical partsDemonstrate the ability to lift 55 lbs, and manage in excess of 85 lbsWhile there may be exceptions, the measurements noted are generally defined as -- Constantly: 5.5+ hours per 8-hour day; Frequently: 2.5 - 5.5 hours per 8-hour day; Occasionally: 0 - 2.5 hours per 8-hour dayIt is the responsibility of each individual Partner to never lift beyond their own safe lifting limit. If an item is too heavy to lift, push or pull, and / or carry, the Partner must break the box down into lighter, smaller, more manageable components, or ask for assistance from another Partner or a manager.
