Mill Foreman

The Long Products Division, Steel of West Virginia, has an immediate opening for a Mill Foreman to oversee operations and projects for the #1 Mill Area. Responsibilities Development of and adherence to mill build schedule. Supervise employees and foster culture. Ensure accurate equipment tracking. Work with the team to identify and implement solutions for mill equipment repair and modifications. Work with mill adjuster and mill supervisor to address and document emergent problems. All other duties as assigned. Qualifications Safety: Foremen are responsible for driving all components of “ Take Control of Safety ” to their teams (High Risk Exposures, PSIF Initiatives, PSIF/SIF Management, etc.) Toolbox Talks (Safety Alerts and other safety discussions) Exposure Assessments and Red Tap Challenges. Enforcing and coaching of Cardinal Life-saving Rules. Strong mechanical aptitude. Mill building experience. Proven leadership and supervision skills. Strong self-starting abilities.
