JOB PURPOSE

The Tool and Die Maker is responsible for ensuring all manufacturing equipment tool is available for production to supporttheon-timeproduction formanufacturing.Thisisaccomplishedthrough maintainingtoollistandspareparts based on the production plan and ensuring special tools are ordered and the tool room has the proper inventory of standard tools ready for production. The Tool and Die Maker is responsible to assist building proper tool room condition by suggesting required equipment and materials. Machine and make gages, fixtures, parts for maintenance.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Createandanalyzetoolingusage. Modifyorproducechangesrequiredtomaintainqualityproductthatisaffectedbytooling. SupportProduction/Maintenanceasneeded. Abletopolishandpreptoolingrequiredforproductionthroughouttheday. CoordinatewithQualityManagerstoresolvequalitydefects. AssistManagementinpreppingthetoolroom,suggestrequiredequipmentneeded. Ensuresafetyoftheemployeesandqualityoftheproductsthroughoutallprocesses. Assistengagingofcultureofcontinuousimprovementwithinyourteamwhereallmembersunderstandand are actively engaged in continuous improvement. All other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

DegreeinMachineToolTechnologyor relatedfieldorprogrammingcertification(e/g/,Tool&Die,Machinist, Programmer). Relevant experience and job history may be considered in lieu of formal education credentials. Blueprintreading,abletorunmanualmachines, lathes, kneemills, surfacegrinders, heattreating, wireEDM Programming3,4and5axisMill&2axisTurnequipment. Experiencemachiningavarietyofmaterials. ThoroughknowledgeandunderstandingofGeometricDimensioningandTolerancing(GD&T) KnowledgeofGoodManufacturingPracticesandISOstandardsrequired Provenhistoryofcreatingeffectivesupportdocumentation Abilitytosetupandrunjobs Knowledgeableinallmeasuringinstrumentation, calipers, micrometers, indicators Abilitytodesignfixturing. Knowledgeofrawmaterials,productionprocesses,qualitycontrol,costsandothertechniquesfor maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods. Basictointermediateshopmath. Mustbewillingtoworkovertimeasrequired. Onoccasion,workirregularhourtoaccommodatemanufacturingschedulesandnightshift. All other duties as assigned.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Workisperformedinamanufacturing/warehouse setting.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

It isfrequentlyrequiredtositforextendedperiods,stand,stoop,andwalk.Occasionallyliftsfromfloorto waist up to 50 pounds.
