One of Rhode Island's major nonprofit community health systems, which operates a network of hospitals, physician practices, specialty centers, and outpatient services, is adding Orthopedic Surgeons. About the Opportunity: Join a team of experienced orthopedic surgeons who use advanced diagnostic imaging services, including CAT scans and MARS MRI, to ensure pinpoint accuracy in diagnosis. The surgeons specialize in fracture repair, arthroscopic surgery, and other surgery of the shoulder, elbow, wrist/hand, hip, knee, and ankle/foot. This program was one of the first in Rhode Island to offer same-day joint replacement for hips and knees. Utilizing advanced pain management techniques, joint replacement patients are discharged to the comfort of their home in the afternoon. The Orthopedics Program has introduced this and other new surgical techniques to Rhode Island and has won numerous national quality awards and recognitions for knee and hip replacement, as well as for spine surgery.
