Qualifications and Experience:

• Must hold current Multi-Categorical Special Education Teacher certification
• Experience working in primary/elementary school settings preferred
• Knowledge and understanding of developmental delays and autism spectrum disorders
• Background in creating and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Strong collaboration skills with support staff, parents, and other educators
• Compassion, patience, and adaptability in diverse classroom environments

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct instruction and implement individualized curriculum for students with exceptional needs
• Maintain a supportive, structured self-contained classroom for primary-aged learners
• Develop, update, and track progress on IEP goals and objectives
• Foster student development—academically, socially, and emotionally
• Communicate regularly with families and multidisciplinary teams
• Ensure compliance with all relevant educational policies and reporting requirements
