The ideal candidate will have prior OR experience, strong clinical judgment, and the flexibility to float and participate in on‑call coverage. Key Responsibilities Provide direct perioperative patient care in the operating room, including preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative nursing. Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the surgical team to ensure safe and efficient procedures. Utilize Cerner for electronic charting and documentation. Participate in unit assignments, including floating between surgical areas and on‑call coverage as required. Follow all hospital policies and procedures regarding infection control and patient safety. Comply with facility vaccination requirements: Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required. Qualifications & Requirements Education: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license required. Experience: Prior operating room (OR) nursing experience required. Licensure: Active Illinois RN license required. Skills & Knowledge: Proficiency in perioperative nursing practices and surgical instrumentation. Ability to manage multiple surgical cases efficiently and safely. Strong clinical judgment and decision‑making skills. Competence with electronic medical record systems (Cerner preferred). Flexibility to float between OR units and respond to on‑call assignments. Other Requirements: Local candidates preferred.
