Seven Healthcare are seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse for a travel assignment in Utica, NY. This role is ideal for an RN with a robust background in emergency services, particularly with experience handling both pediatric and adult patients. The assignment allows the opportunity to work in a dynamic and demanding environment with a variety of patient diagnoses.

Key Responsibilities of the ED RN

• Providing care for patients of all ages, including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Managing a variety of critical conditions such as stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure
• Utilizing specialty equipment like the Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun
• Administering required drips and medications including pressors, vasodilators, anti-arrhythmics, sedatives, and other critical care drugs
• Fulfilling charge responsibilities as needed
• Floating within the department as required

Requirements of the ED RN

• Active New York RN license
• Current AHA certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC
• Minimum 2 years of ED experience with pediatric exposure
• Documented travel experience
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR system
