Job Summary
Sterile Processing Technician Specialty: Sterile Processing Tech Location: Not specified. This position involves providing sterile processing services within a healthcare facility, supporting surgical cases such as general surgery, orthopedics, endoscopy, and OB GYN. The role requires adherence to sterilization and equipment handling protocols to ensure operational readiness and patient safety.

Job Details

• Position Description: Sterile Processing Tech with experience in sterilization procedures, equipment cleaning, sets/trays assembly, and documentation, supporting general surgery, orthopedics, endoscopy, and OB GYN cases.
• Certifications, Education, and Experience: CST Certification required; 1 year of experience preferred; valid state license (compact license accepted); at least 1 year of relevant experience; location restricted to those at least 50 miles from the facility.
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 0730-1600, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Additional Requirements: Experience with high-level disinfection, washers/sterilizers, biological and chemical indicators, steam sterilization testing/monitoring, and IUSS preferred.
• Responsibilities: Proper selection and use of wrapping materials, sterilization procedures, equipment documentation, handling of orthopedic, plastics, urology, ENT, and other specialty cases, adherence to safety and sterilization standards.
• Submission Requirements: Candidates must include responses to specific questions regarding previous work at a Providence facility, with two references covering at least one year within the last three years.
• Additional Information: Candidates may need to work during specified holidays and must request all scheduling and RTO requests upfront. Mandatory participation in module completion during orientation is required.
