Supplier Quality EngineerLHH is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer for a Direct Hire, Permanent Placement position with a manufacturing client located in Bloomington, Indiana. This is a unique opportunity to join a well-established organization known for its commitment to quality, innovation, and long-term growth within a highly regulated manufacturing environment. In this role, you will own the supplier quality program, partner cross-functionally with engineering, procurement, and operations teams, and drive continuous improvement initiatives that directly impact product quality, supplier performance, and operational success. The compensation is commensurate to experience and will range between $110,000 -120,000 per year plus bonus and includes comprehensive benefit and insurance plans, generous Paid Time Off, and a 401K plan with a company match.JOB RESPONSIBILITIESLead and maintain the organization's supplier quality management program.Drive supplier risk assessment and mitigation activities across the supply chain.Perform supplier qualification, onboarding, and approval activities.Conduct supplier audits and evaluate compliance with quality standards.Manage supplier corrective actions and ensure timely issue resolution.Investigate supplier-related quality concerns and coordinate containment efforts.Review supplier change notifications and assess potential business impact.Develop supplier scorecards and monitor key performance metrics.Analyze supplier quality trends and recommend improvement opportunities.Partner with procurement on supplier selection and performance evaluations.Support incoming quality functions with technical problem-solving assistance.Participate in cross-functional quality and continuous improvement initiatives.Prepare supplier quality reports for leadership and management reviews.Collaborate with internal stakeholders to strengthen supplier relationships.Support special projects and strategic quality initiatives as assigned.QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's Degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related technical discipline is requiredMinimum of 5+ years of supplier quality engineering experience within a manufacturing facility is requiredIdeal candidates will have experience supporting quality systems within highly regulated industries.Must have experience leading supplier quality audits and supplier assessmentsMust have the ability to manage supplier corrective actions, investigations, and root cause analysis activitiesIdeal candidates will have experience with supplier qualification and supplier performance management.Ideal candidates will have experience conducting risk assessments and implementing mitigation plans.Experience with ISO-based quality management standards is preferred.*** Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.***
