Conduct evaluations tailored to diverse populations, employing both standardized assessments and observational methods to gauge needs.
Design customized treatment plans focused on immediate goals and long-term communication or swallowing needs.
Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions emphasizing language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
Collaborate with fellow healthcare professionals including physical and occupational therapists, caregivers, and families to ensure integrated care strategies.
Engage in educating patients and their families to promote success beyond clinical settings.
Participate in assessments and treatment for inpatient therapy when required, maintaining a seamless continuum of care.
Ensure meticulous documentation that adheres to necessary regulatory standards.
Pursue ongoing professional development and share knowledge with colleagues to keep up with the latest advancements in the field.
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized accredited institution.
Successful completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you have not yet secured ASHA certification.
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
Preferred: ASHA's Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be completed within the first month of employment.
Expertise in evidence-based therapeutic approaches for varying ages, paired with a deep understanding of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
Exceptional communication skills to foster strong relationships with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
Adeptness at modifying therapy approaches to respect and address different cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
Strong clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with electronic medical records and proficient documentation techniques.
