Position: Construction Superintendent IV Location: 19775 Belmont Executive Plaza, Suite 200, Ashburn, VA Job Id: 1113 # of Openings: 1 Position Summary The Construction Superintendent will provide on‑site coordination for all phases of construction projects, including coordinating subcontractors, material, and equipment. Responsibilities include ensuring specifications are strictly followed, work proceeds on schedule and within budget, and managing scheduling, inspections, quality control, and job site safety. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Schedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors in the critical path to ensure timely completion. Perform quality control duties regarding the work being performed. Communicate with the project team regarding ASIs, RFIs, and material submittals. Ensure subcontractors fully execute and comply with their scope of work. Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions. Identify subcontractor non‑compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards. Identify conflicts in construction progress and communicate them for resolution. Maintain a daily written log of job‑site activities. Ensure subcontractors correct all deficiencies identified by the project team. Walk all units daily to monitor activities and assist in future planning. Preside over weekly subcontractor meetings to coordinate work. Issue notices of non‑compliance to subcontractors regarding quality or scheduling. Keep the job site clean and organized at all times. Identify and complete punch list items for job progress and completion. Secondary Functions Assist in budgeting, bidding, and award of subcontracts. Assist in obtaining permits or approving revisions. Gather project material submittals and maintain records of approvals at the jobsite. Identify work outside of subcontracted scope. Open the job site at the start of the day and secure it at the end of the day. Identify deficient work, provide resolution, and perform blueprint reading. Work evenings and weekends occasionally as required. Manage MEP trades. Qualifications Minimum 7–10 years of verifiable experience with comprehensive trade knowledge. Experience with mission‑critical construction preferred. Experience across all phases of construction, including civil earthwork, formwork, rebar, concrete, structural, and drainage. Must be a U.S. citizen. Willing to travel up to approximately 50% of the time. Willing and able to work evenings or weekends occasionally. Computer Skills Procore and Bluebeam preferred. Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Project, Outlook) preferred. Certificates and Licenses No certificates or licenses required. Supervisory Responsibilities The Project Superintendent supervises all subcontractors, consultants, and vendors daily, ensuring adequate manpower and compliance with work standards. The position also monitors project security personnel. Physical Demands Occurs frequently: occasional lifting or moving of up to 50 pounds, frequent use of hands, stooping, kneeling, and walking.
