Position Description You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT in the HUMAN CAPITAL MANAGEMENT GROUP, HUMAN RESOURCES DEPT of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE. Before applying, you are encouraged to learn more about federal human resources careers by visiting the HR Career Compass at: Position Duties/Responsibilities You will provide technical support and information to coworkers, employees, and supervisors on routine HR matters, and will research answers to customers' questions. You will participate in training opportunities to expand technical skills and may assist in explaining standard checklists or processes to lower-graded or new staff. You will review, prepare, and track routine personnel actions to ensure completeness and accuracy before and after processing. You will apply a foundational knowledge of standard employee benefits to address routine customer inquiries, referring complex or non-standard questions to senior specialists. You will assist in the check-in process for new hires. You will learn to utilize automated HR systems such as DCPDS, Onboarding, E-Verify, and Civilian Workflow Automation tools.
