Pharmacy Clerk

Job OverviewProvide customer service, handle cash register transactions, receive patient prescriptions, merchandise and ensure adequate stock for the over-the-counter area, unpack/verify stock-to-invoices and help maintain the pharmacy in proper order.ResponsibilitiesHandle cash register transactions and accurately enter sales information into cash registers.Prepare cash drawer reports daily according to department polices and procedures.Provide accurate and timely assistance to customers.Manage credit card transactions.Refer patients/customers to pharmacist when appropriate.Assist customers with prescriptions and/or other products.Complete special orders to meet customer needs.Demonstrate ability to respond to customer/co-worker questions or concerns in an appropriate and customer-focused manner.Receive prescriptions from patients and record the proper patient information following department policies and procedures.Ensure the correct medication, supplies and equipment are received by the patient.Deliver items to patients, physician's offices, nursing stations, long term care facilities, and other areas as assigned.Package and mail/UPS/Quicksilver items appropriately.Manage prescription signature log.Order, receive, price and put stock into inventory.Display products in the store to be visually pleasing.Ensure each product has a POS shelf label.Demonstrates ability to provide care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level and cultural differences of population served.Demonstrates Commitment to CustomersIs aware of different customer needs/desires.Takes action to meet customer needs/desires with respect to customer diversity.Helps improve processes to meet customer needs.Suggests and acts on ideas to improve overall customer service.Respects confidentiality and shares information with only those that need to knowDemonstrates Commitment to Fellow EmployeesSeeks to understand and value differences between employees.Treats other employees with dignity and respect.Demonstrates open, honest communication and behavior.Resolves conflict in a positive manner.Contributes to the productivity of the workgroup.Demonstrates Commitment to FairviewLives the values of dignity, integrity, service and compassion.Supports the mission/vision.Speaks positively about Fairview.Chooses to make Fairview a better place.Required QualificationsProficient in the English language.Good attention to detail.Ability to follow policies and procedures.Excellent customer service skills.Basic math skills.Preferred QualificationsHigh School orGED1 year Retail ExperienceBenefit OverviewFairview offers a generous benefit package including but not limited to medical, dental, vision plans, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance, PTO and Sick and Safe Time, tuition reimbursement, retirement, early access to earned wages, and more!Compensation DisclaimerAn individual's pay rate within the posted range may be determined by various factors, including skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions.
