About the Position

Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Rotating Shift (Days and Nights, 3x12-Hour Shifts) | Onsite | Weekends Required (typically every other weekend)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting with a 1:4 RN-to-patient ratio
• Float between the Emergency Department and ED holding unit as operationally required
• Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using Epic EMR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams within a Level II Trauma and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center environment
• Maintain compliance with facility policies, scheduling requirements, and unit-specific protocols

Required Qualifications

• Valid Washington State RN license or active Compact RN license (required at time of submission)
• Prior Emergency Room nursing experience
• Proficiency with Epic EMR
• Ability to work rotating day and night shifts, including every other weekend
• Willingness to float to sister facilities nearby the contracted location as needed

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a short-term acute care or trauma center environment
• Familiarity with ED holding workflows and high-acuity patient populations
• Experience working in a teaching hospital setting
