Store Operations is building a strategic programs team to lead the transformation of store fulfillment. The Process & Insights Engineer plays a critical role in enabling both near‑term performance and long‑term transformation by owning ambiguous problem statements, integrating data with site visits and hands‑on learning, and diagnosing operational root causes to shape the path forward with both near‑term and long‑term deliverables. This role operates at the intersection of operations, analytics, and systems, partnering with program managers, product, tech and store ops field teams to identify risks, diagnose root causes, size opportunities, and measure impact. Responsibilities Use scalable data tools to support analysis tied to building new capabilities, pilot tracking, and performance issues to support program objectives; translate findings into clear decision points, tradeoffs, and recommended actions for program and ops leaders. Support scaled event readiness and execution through proactive risk identification and scenario analysis. Collaborate with Product, Technology, Supply Chain, Transportation, Inventory, and Store Operations partners to align insights with operational realities; devote regular on‑site time in stores to build credibility with both technical and non‑technical partners. Apply methods such as A3, Gemba walks, process mapping, 5‑Whys, and other structured problem‑solving techniques to connect data to real‑world workflows and inform decisions that address root causes and improve program performance. Support the change journey by engaging and equipping frontline teams and leaders with tools, training, standard work, job aids, and process documentation as part of pilot, testing, training, and adoption. Qualifications 5‑10 years of Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering experience; 3‑5 years in omnichannel retail operations, store operations, supply chain, last‑mile, or a related environment preferred. Bachelor’s degree in Industrial & System Engineering, Master’s in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or equivalent preferred. Experience owning and diagnosing complex operational problems by examining end‑to‑end flow, capacity, bottlenecks, and failure modes; demonstrated application of structured problem‑solving techniques to identify root causes and recommend actions that improve performance and reduce variability. Working understanding of order management, store inventory movement & accuracy, routing, and fulfillment workflows; comfortable learning on‑site, observing workflows, and pressure testing data against reality. Proficiency in Excel; experience with BI or analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar) and knowledge of Python & SQL is a plus. Experience working with messy real‑world operational data where orders move across multiple systems; able to trace issues end‑to‑end, identify breakdown points, and explain impacts and next steps. Ability to collaborate with Product, Technology, UX, and Business partners to solve impactful problems across multiple initiatives; comfortable adapting insights for different audiences and using visuals, plain language, and executive‑level synthesis. Strong organizational and analytical skills in a fast‑paced retail environment; able to balance speed with accuracy and communicate clearly in high‑visibility situations. Bias for action and continuous improvement, looking for opportunities to simplify processes, improve reporting, and apply automation or AI‑assisted tools where they deliver real value. Pay range: $102,500.00 - $170,500.00 per year. This position may be eligible for performance‑based incentives/bonuses.
