Job description

We are looking for an experienced truck driver to deliver oils and solvents chemicals to customers. Delivery areas include Rochester, Buffalo, and Syracuse areas.

Education - High School or Equivalent

Requirements

Valid Class B CDL (Hazmat Endorsement is required)
Able to do heavy lifting 35-75 pounds, pushing, pulling, bending, twisting.
Fork Truck Experience

Responsibilities

Perform Vehicle Condition Reports (VCR), reporting any issues immediately. Keep truck neat and clean.
Help load and unload truck at beginning and end of shift.
Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
Courteous and professional interaction with customers and vendors.
Unload products at customer's location ( this could be a pump off from totes to customer's tanks, drums, pails, or cases of product).
Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
Collect and verify delivery instructions.

Skills

Proven work experience as a truck driver
Possess a clean safety and driving record
Reliable/Punctual
Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
Safely operate hand & electric pallet jack / fork truck
Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc.)
Valid truck driving license
Pass pre-employment drug screening
Good organization / Communication skills
Basic Computer/Math skills

Job Type: Full-time
