Job description

We are looking for an experienced truck driver to deliver oils and solvents chemicals to customers. Delivery areas include Rochester, Buffalo, and Syracuse areas.

Education - High School or Equivalent

Requirements

• Valid Class B CDL (Hazmat Endorsement is required)
• Able to do heavy lifting 35-75 pounds, pushing, pulling, bending, twisting.
• Fork Truck Experience

Responsibilities

• Perform Vehicle Condition Reports (VCR), reporting any issues immediately. Keep truck neat and clean.
• Help load and unload truck at beginning and end of shift.
• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
• Courteous and professional interaction with customers and vendors.
• Unload products at customer's location ( this could be a pump off from totes to customer's tanks, drums, pails, or cases of product).
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
• Collect and verify delivery instructions.

Skills

• Proven work experience as a truck driver
• Possess a clean safety and driving record
• Reliable/Punctual
• Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
• Safely operate hand & electric pallet jack / fork truck
• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc.)
• Valid truck driving license
• Pass pre-employment drug screening
• Good organization / Communication skills
• Basic Computer/Math skills

Job Type: Full-time
