Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist, Peds - Pediatric Specialty, Location Not Specified. This position involves independently providing respiratory care, pulmonary, and cardiology diagnostic testing to patients across various healthcare settings. The role requires collaboration with medical teams to evaluate patient responses and adjust treatments accordingly.

Job Details

• Certifications and Education: Associate or technical degree; proof of passing the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT); current license in the practicing state; Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification.
• Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Responsibilities: Performing basic modalities of respiratory care as prescribed, applying and managing mechanical ventilators, maintaining and troubleshooting respiratory equipment, conducting pulmonary and cardiology diagnostic testing, assessing patient responses, and documenting care accurately. Communicates and collaborates with healthcare team members to develop and modify care plans. May supervise department staff.
• Additional Requirements: Knowledge of clinical techniques, applications, and equipment usually obtained through at least one year of clinical experience. Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds, respond quickly to patient needs, and communicate effectively.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
