Description BCCS is seeking a Controller! What You'll Do At Brandywine Counseling Financial Reporting & Statements: Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, producing accurate balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports. Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist leadership in developing annual budgets, entering information into software, monitoring the budget against actual spending, and identifying financial variances. Internal Controls: Develop, implement, and maintain internal accounting policies to safeguard company assets, mitigate risk, and prevent fraud. Payroll, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable: Manage, maintain, and mentor the accounting department, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and payroll staff. Audit & Tax Coordination: Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors and ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal tax regulations including 1099s and W-2s. Prepare Indirect Cost Proposal: Develop and submit the indirect cost proposal to the federal government for federal contracts. Contract involvement for third‑party payers. Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Technical Accounting: Advanced understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Software Proficiency: Expertise in advanced Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics GP) and financial close management tools. Analytical & Strategic Thinking: Ability to interpret complex financial data to generate insights, improve operational efficiency, and drive profitability. Education & Certifications: A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required. Most employers require or strongly prefer a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation. MIP (Abila) Software. Requirements REQUIRED: B.S. in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.

PREFERRED: MBA.

PREFERRED: Experience in the non‑profit sector. REQUIRED: Minimum of 8‑10 years related experience, including computer and/or business management experience. PREFERRED: 7 to 10 years of accounting or finance experience. Pay Starting at $45/hour. Commensurate with experience and education. Schedule Monday – Friday. From 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Additional hours as needed. The Compensation Package For This Position Includes Group medical, dental, and vision coverage with low employee costs. 34 paid days off annually. Tuition reimbursement.
