Key Responsibilities
- Accurately and efficiently cook hot food products while preparing and portioning food items prior to cooking.
- Understand and execute menu items and techniques to ensure high-quality dishes.
- Collaborate as part of a team focused on delivering outstanding culinary experiences.
- Bring the necessary tools to perform your duties effectively, with the restaurant providing any additional tools needed.
- Taste and season food properly, regardless of the simplicity of the dish.
- Utilize various cooking methods and heat sources effectively.
- Receive and apply constructive criticism positively from fellow team members.
- Work with a variety of ingredients, including proteins, fruits, vegetables, grains, and spices.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation before, during, and after service.
- Assist sous chefs in ordering and writing prep lists for the following day.
- Identify product quality and freshness to ensure the best culinary standards.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Able to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
- Responsible, dependable, and punctual.
- Strong communication skills; must be able to speak, read, and understand English.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance.
- Demonstrate enthusiasm for the 21c brand and its mission.
- Must pass a background check.
Schedule
- Full-time availability with flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
