The facility is recognized for providing high clinical quality year over year. It has received an A in safety by a national grading organization. The hospital is a leading center for trauma and stroke care. It is recognized for excellence in nursing. The ICU unit features a 2:1 or 1:1 patient ratio, depending on acuity. Staffing consists solely of registered nurses with no support staff available. The unit is equipped with ventilators, telemetry systems, IV pumps, and more. Documentation is completed using a specific electronic system. Travelers may float to other areas of the facility as needed. Advanced skills in IABP, Impella, and CRRT are appreciated. Procedures performed in this unit include cardioversion and central line insertion. Uniform guidelines require specific color scrubs, with no hoodies or pullovers allowed. This position may provide opportunities for learning new technology and working alongside experienced staff.
