GI Technician - Days

Hourly Pay Range: $20.69 - $30.00 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

• Sign-On Bonus: $7500 with 1 yr Endo/GI experience (parameters apply)
• Location: Highland Park, IL (with the ability to float to Evanston, Glenbrook and Skokie Hospitals)
• Full Time
• Hours: 8 am to 5:30pm M-F with occasional Saturday rotation and call requirements (including nights, weekends and holidays)

What You Will Do:

• Assist under the direction of the RN, in the implementation of the established plan of care.
• Assist the physician and the RN during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Respond to emergency situations.
• Responsible for procedure set-up, supply and equipment maintenance, processing and reprocessing of endoscopes and other duties as assigned.
• Responsible for meeting on-call criteria as defined by the department. The employee is expected to float to other GI Lab locations.

What You Will Need:

• Education: Experience as a Patient Care Tech, Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant highly preferred
• Certification: CPR BLS issued by the American Heart Association
• Experience: Basic knowledge of physiology, anatomy & medical terminology required; Basic computer experience; Ability to take vitals and perform CPR
