Rehab Director - COTA

Serve as the primary Legacy representative at the facility Promote Legacy policies, clinical programs, and the mission to help aging adults live safe, healthy lives Build rapport and positive working relationships with facility personnel and Legacy employees Oversee internal marketing efforts and keep community leaders informed about Legacy programs and offerings Manage site productivity and make changes to achieve budget Maintain a caseload to help the rehab department meet standards Assess patient needs and develop clinical programs appropriate for facility census Direct and train others in clinical service delivery across disciplines Coordinate the rehab department daily with facility staff to plan and implement therapy programming Participate in clinical outcomes reporting and share results with the customer Manage staff schedules to meet caseload requirements and use scheduling tools for patient schedules Manage CliniFax and physician-signature requirements for therapy plans of care Maintain communication among rehab staff, facility staff, and Legacy corporate personnel Assist with staff orientation and training to meet company, state, and federal standards Requirements Clinical background as a Physical Therapist (PT), Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA), Occupational Therapist (OT), Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), or Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Three to five years’ experience in long-term care (LTC) or senior living Minimum of a degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience, such as a degree in PT, PTA, OT, COTA, or SLP Licensed and registered as a PT, PTA, OT, COTA, or SLP in the state where assigned Prior supervisory experience preferred but not required Ability to assess patient needs and develop clinical programs Ability to direct and train others in clinical service delivery across disciplines Ability to manage productivity, budgets, caseloads, and staff schedules Ability to coordinate therapy programming with facility staff Ability to manage CliniFax and physician signatures on therapy plans of care Ability to meet company, state, and federal standards Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in clinical program development and patient assessment, with a strong focus on managing productivity and staff schedules in a long-term care environment.
