JOB OBJECTIVE

As a member of the Post Ranch Inn and Sierra Mar Restaurant, the Sommelier will ensure a world-class guest experience by interacting with guests and supporting the service team with wine offerings.

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Must have a High School diploma, and college or secondary education preferred Must have at least 2 years of Sommelier experience in a fine dining atmosphere Prior training, development and/or supervisory experience is required Proven track record of providing a unique guest experience Continual interest in staying up to date with food, wine, and fine dining trends Ability to establish effective partnerships with all departments

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to use repetitive hand and body motions on a regular basis such as grasping, writing, typing, listening, hearing, and visual acuity Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time on varying ground levels with stairs on a regular basis Ability to lift 50 pounds or more on a consistent basis and to bend, stoop, stretch, climb and squat frequently to fulfill a range of manual tasks ABOUT US: Post Ranch Inn is one of the most acclaimed luxury resorts in the world and is consistently listed as one of the world's best places to stay.
