Provider Contract Analyst

The Provider Contract Analyst supports the provider services team by providing comprehensive analysis and implementation of physician and advanced practice provider (APP) contracts for the Health First Integrated Delivery Network (IDN). The Provider Contract Analyst verifies and maintains all compensation agreements, confirming they adhere to federal, state regulatory requirements, are aligned with fair market value, and consistent with the IDNs organizational compensation policies, procedures, and best practices. The Provider Contract Analyst will collaborate with Corporate Legal, Finance, as well as operational stakeholders to competently evaluate market data, support incentive design for physicians and APP, deliver compliance-backed reporting that is actionable, transparent, and performance across the IDN.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conducts annual market analysis, to evaluate physician and APP trends regarding compensation, verifying consistent approaches with internal equity and external competitiveness, while developing, communicating, and overseeing incentive metrics align with the IDNs strategic goals.
• Prepares contract offers, renewals, and amendments, confirming accuracy in compensation structure, incentive plans, and terms.
• Collaborates with Legal, Finance, and Compliance to verify all contracts adhere to applicable regulations (e.g., Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, and IDN policies).
• Tracks and maintains all contracts, renewals, and term expirations, ensuring a timely and swift review and execution, while supporting Finance and Accounting teams with interpreting terms and payment procedures to ensure accurate pay is administered to providers.
• Partners with leadership to communicate contract status, amendments, and compliance requirements to key IDN stakeholders.
• Works with IDN operational leaders and clinicians to define, monitor, and report on performance and quality metrics tied into incentive programs.
• Participates in continuous improvement of the contracting and analytic processes, aiming to advance efficiency, compensation transparency, and accuracy of data.
• Receives and responds to inquiries from physicians and APPs regarding compensation and contract terms, providing exceptional service while maintaining confidentiality.

Work Experience:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelors degree in Business or Healthcare Administration, or a relevant field.
• Work Experience: Three (3) years experience in data analytics, provider employment contracting or provider compensation, physician requirement, or legal field.
• Licensure: None
• Certification: None
• Work Experience In Lieu of Education: Any one of the following:
• Associates degree and an additional two (2) years experience in healthcare related positions
• High School Diploma and an additional three (3) years experience in healthcare related positions
• Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
• Excellent analytical, clinical research, and organizational skills
• Proficiency with data visualization and analytics tools
• Intermediate to Expert level experience with Microsoft Office, (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with all levels of leaders and clinicians.
• Ability to continually master new technology, applications, and methodologies
• Ability to maintain positive working relationships with all levels within the organization
• Ability to work independently while navigating resources within a highly matrixed organization
• Ability to work flexible hours to meet deadlines or attend early or late meetings.
