About this Job This position is offering a limited-time $10,000 bonus for a full‑time Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team in Baltimore and Olney, Maryland. This is a full‑time 40‑hour per week position: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.; Wednesday 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. No call, no holiday. PRN openings are available at Montgomery Medical Center, Good Samaritan Hospital, and Franklin Square Medical Center. This is a highly skilled technical and professional role that assists with all invasive cardiovascular procedures and other specialized interventional procedures under the direction of the Interventional Radiologist, Cardiologist, and Vascular Surgeon, following established protocols. The Vascular‑Interventional Radiographer must be proficient in scrubbing procedures and the use of imaging, processing, and patient‑care equipment. Apply today and learn how MedStar Health can be your next great career move! Primary Duties Operate and document all aspects of the Cath Lab, including all procedures performed. Work as a contributing member of the Interventional Radiology/Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory team, collaborating with vascular surgeons, cardiologists, radiologists, registered nurses, and cardiovascular technologists. Provide technical skills necessary to assist the physician in performing Interventional Radiology and Cardiac Catheterization procedures. Provide a safe environment for the patient during procedures. May function as a scrub assistant, ensuring maximum compliance with aseptic/sterile technique by self and team members. Ensure adequate floor and room stock are available for imaging procedures. Assist in recording, storing, retrieving, and analyzing data obtained during interventional cardiovascular procedures. Assist in monitoring patients, including hemodynamic data/ECG/angiographic data, and document changes as necessary, reporting to physicians and other team members promptly. Assist in preparation of radiologic and laboratory equipment, maintaining and troubleshooting equipment as needed, and ensuring proper use and operation of all interventional equipment. Properly position patients for procedures and provide instructions as needed. Participate in data collection and result reporting for ongoing quality improvement. Maintain a clean, safe, prepared work environment, preparing rooms, cleaning equipment, sterilizing procedure tables, and restocking supplies. Monitor drug supplies and notify the appropriate person of replenishment needs. Maintain current knowledge, certification, and licensure, identify learning needs, and complete continuing education and training programs. Work effectively within and between departments, participating in interdepartmental teams and committees, and communicating unit knowledge. Ensure appropriate sterile instruments and dosimeter badges are available, create quarterly exposure reports for the Radiation Safety Committee, and maintain records of lead surveys and crash cart checks. Precept new Cardiovascular Lab technologists and assist in establishing product PAR counts. Communicate with company representatives and procedural physicians regarding equipment availability and case scheduling, and attend system‑wide meetings to bring information back to department staff. Qualifications Vocational/Technical Diploma or associate degree in Radiology. 5‑7 years of Cath Lab experience preferred. ARRT license as a Registered Radiation Technologist in Maryland.
