Lead Data Engineer

Senior Data Engineer Location: Remote Employment: 6-Month Contract Experience: 4+ Years Job Summary: We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer with strong hands-on experience in dbt Core, dbt Cloud, Fivetran, and Snowflake . The candidate will design, develop, deploy, and support scalable cloud-based ELT pipelines and analytics-ready data solutions. Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain dbt models, macros, tests, snapshots, seeds, packages, and documentation .
- Configure and manage dbt Cloud jobs, schedules, deployments, and environments .
- Configure and troubleshoot Fivetran connectors, incremental loads, schema changes, and syncs .
- Develop scalable Snowflake databases, schemas, tables, views, and data models .
- Write advanced SQL for transformation, validation, reconciliation, and performance optimization.
- Design Bronze/Raw, Silver/Cleansed, Gold/Business-Ready, and Semantic layers .
- Apply dimensional modeling, fact/dimension tables, star schemas, and proper data grain .
- Implement Git, Azure DevOps, CI/CD, code reviews, and multi-environment deployments .
- Apply Snowflake security including RBAC and dynamic data masking .
- Support and refine Snowflake CoCo AI Agent semantic definitions and business metrics.
- Troubleshoot end-to-end pipelines across Source Fivetran Snowflake dbt BI/Consumption .
- Collaborate with data architects, engineers, BI teams, analysts, and business stakeholders.
