Materials Management Associate I

Abbott seeks a Materials Management Associate I to support warehouse and inventory operations at its Madison facility. This entry-level position handles receiving, storing, and shipping materials while operating material handling equipment and maintaining accurate inventory records in a regulated manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, label, and store incoming materials according to established procedures and compliance requirements
• Operate forklifts, electric jacks, cherry pickers, and other site-specific material handling equipment
• Process internal material requests and deliver supplies to appropriate departments and locations
• Assist with packaging, preparing outbound shipments, and ensuring hazardous materials compliance
• Support inventory transactions in SAP/EWM and document all receipt, storage, and shipment activities accurately

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED with one year relevant experience, or associate degree in logistics or related field
• Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office and accurate data entry skills
• Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly and stand or walk for extended periods
• Ability to obtain forklift certification
• Current work authorization in the United States
• Prior warehouse or material handling experience preferred
• Familiarity with SAP, EWM, or GMP environments preferred

Compensation: $14.85–$29.65/hour
