Registered Clinical Dietitian PRN

Job Title Registered Dietitian Clinical facilitates the nutrition care process to provide individuals with quality medical nutrition therapy for common disease states and to promote optimal wellness. Posting Specifics Pay Rate: Based on experience. Shift details: PRN. 7:30 am‑4:00 pm but flexible with time of shift. Rotating holidays and weekends. Weekends in house Saturday, on call Sunday. No evenings or grave‑yard shifts. The position may be hired as a Registered Dietitian Clinical or a Registered Dietitian Clinical Specialist, depending on the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience. Strong preference for 1‑2 years of experience, including Epic. Essential Functions Completes and documents nutrition assessment. Assesses and interprets nutrition‑related lab values. Identifies and documents nutrition diagnosis. Identifies and implements appropriate nutrition interventions, including quality nutrition education based on customer needs, expectations, and culture. Monitors and evaluates individual nutrition outcomes related to nutrition diagnosis, goals, and interventions. Communicates nutrition expertise with all appropriate healthcare providers. Collaborates with other dietitians, including referring patients to specialty‑trained dietitians as appropriate. Supports nutrition care across the healthcare continuum. Participates in department continuous improvement projects. Registered Dietitian Nutritionist order‑writing privileges per policy/protocol. If hired as registration‑eligible, the employee must successfully pass the Registered Dietitian credentialing exam within six months of hire to remain in the position. For registration‑eligible graduates after Jan 1 2024, completion of a master’s degree from an accredited university is required. Education is verified. Completion of an ACEND‑accredited didactic program in dietetics, dietetic internship, coordinated program, or graduate‑level competency‑based dietitian nutritionist program. State licensure or certification in accordance with the primary state of practice requirement for Registered Dietitians. If licensure or certification is required, it must be obtained within six months of hire. Experience in clinical dietetics preferred. Qualifications (Registered Dietitian Clinical Specialist) Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration. For graduates after Jan 1 2024, completion of a master’s degree from an accredited university is required. Education is verified. Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply evidence‑based research to clinical practice. Two or more years of dietetics experience in a clinical setting preferred. Experience in managing patients in a specialty area preferred. Relevant dietetics‑related specialty practice credential (CNSC, CSP, CDCES, CSO, CSR, CSOWM, etc.) preferred. Physical Requirements Ongoing need to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, and identify equipment and supplies. Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require verbal communication and the ability to hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, especially during emergency situations. Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy, including frequent computer use and typing for documentation and medication preparation. For roles requiring driving: Must be able to operate a vehicle, which requires sitting, seeing, and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles. Pay Range Registered Dietitian Clinical: $29.14 – $44.94 hourly. Registered Dietitian Specialist: $32.02 – $49.44 hourly. Location Good Samaritan Hospital, Lafayette, Colorado.
