Primary duties include programming, machining materials in a timely manner for production and meeting customer specifications/requirements.Responsibilities:Programing first article specifications into the CNC Machine using customer drawings.The ability to read and follow a schedule to meet customer demands and ensure delivery on time.Utilizing the bill of material, to accurately select raw materials for processing.Delivering finished machined parts to the next operation of production in a timely fashion.The ability to manually machine material utilizing power tools, calipers and other measuring devices in situations when the CNC machine cannot be used.Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample work pieces.Maintain specifications by observing the drilling, grooving, and cutting process. Taking measurements, detecting malfunctions, troubleshooting, adjusting and reprogramming controls as needed.Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements. Following manufacturer's instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and calling for repairs.RequirementsEducation/Training:Technical Degree preferred with 3 years of CNC machine operator experienceMechanical Background a plusISO 9001 KnowledgeLean Manufacturing experience a plusForklift certification a plusKnowledge/Skills/Abilities:Computer programing skills as it relates to CNC machineryMechanical skills with the ability to accurately measure using proper toolingProblem solving and Continual Improvement mind setThe ability to pay close attention to detailTravel Requirements:Internal Village Companies for deliveryPhysical Requirements:Be able to lift at least 25 lbs and up to 50 lbs for short periods of timeAbility to maneuver around the CNC Machine (bending and twisting)Must be able to stand for several hours per day, sit, bend, and lift.Safety-Sensitive Position: CNC Operator role is considered a safety-sensitive position. Safety performance is a critical component of successful job performance in this role.Materials and Equipment Utilized:CNC MachineHand and Power Tools (Drills, Tape Measures, Calipers, etc.)Safety equipment: Safety glasses, hearing protection as required, cut resistant gloves as required and steel toes in required area. Electrostatic discharge equipment may be required in designated areas.Computers, printers, etc.Working Environment:100% Manufacturing: light, clean, moderate to loud noise, safety glasses required and other personal protective equipment (PPE) where applicable.
