Travel Nursing Job Details Location: Fort Wayne, Indiana 46845 Healthcare Setting: Acute care emergency department and verified Level II Adult and Pediatric Trauma Center Contract: 13 weeks Start Date: October 19, 2026 End Date: January 18, 2027 Shift: 12-hour night shifts, 5:00 p.m. – 5:00 a.m. Hours: 36 hours per week Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,980–$2,080 Department: 40-room Emergency Department with monitored rooms and dedicated resuscitation bays Patient Assignment: Approximately 1 nurse to 4 patients Documentation and Medication Systems: EPIC and Pyxis Orientation: Eight-hour days during the first two weeks; mandatory attendance is required for all seven orientation days Dress Code: Caribbean blue scrubs Emergency Room RN Job Requirements At least 2 years of recent Emergency Department or emergency room nursing experience Current Indiana or compact Registered Nurse (RN) license American Heart Association BLS certification American Heart Association ACLS certification American Heart Association PALS certification TNCC or ATCN certification NIHSS certification strongly preferred Strong emergency nursing assessment, prioritization, and critical-thinking skills Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and participate fully in the required orientation program Emergency Department RN Responsibilities Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care to adult and pediatric patients with a wide range of medical, surgical, and traumatic conditions Rapidly assess, triage, stabilize, and monitor patients based on acuity and changing clinical needs Care for high-acuity patients in resuscitation bays and monitored treatment areas Administer medications and treatments safely using established clinical protocols and Pyxis medication systems Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team through a team-nursing model to support efficient patient flow Document assessments, interventions, reassessments, and patient responses accurately in EPIC Recognize and respond promptly to clinical deterioration, trauma, and other emergency conditions Educate patients and families while providing compassionate, professional care throughout the emergency visit Apply now to join this Fort Wayne, Indiana travel nursing opportunity and make a difference as an Emergency Room Registered Nurse.
